When a child is not given nutritional food he or she becomes unhealthy. Most people do not equate the physical results of extreme poverty with people in the United States. However, malnutrition is not a respecter of persons. The result of poor nutrition is a low resistant immune system. The outward expression of nutritional neglect is most often evident in tooth decay.

Shelter Rock Dental Clinics help spread the good news of the Gospel and God’s love through the loving care of mission minded physicians and medical volunteers.

Annually, over 2,000 medical procedures are performed with Christ’s love to the poor of Appalachia through the Shelter Rock medical clinics. 

Families are given food product and educated on the importance of proper nutrition. 

Volunteers help share the love of Jesus Christ during the clinics. Those served learn that God is merciful and gracious; and the most excellent way is His love.
